Security Camera Installation in Las Vegas
We install low-voltage cabling for commercial security camera systems in Las Vegas — PoE IP cameras, NVR network integration, and clean cable pathways for business properties. The physical installation, done right.
Commercial Security Camera Cabling and Installation
Modern IP security cameras run over standard ethernet cable using PoE — power and data over the same Cat6 run. We install the cabling, route it cleanly through the ceiling or walls, mount the cameras at the planned locations, and connect everything back to your NVR location and network switch. The result is a clean, manageable installation that your security provider can configure without dealing with cabling issues.
What's included
- Cat6 PoE cable runs to each camera location
- Camera mounting at planned positions
- NVR network drop and connection
- Cable routing through walls, ceilings, and conduit
- Cable labeling and port documentation
- Coordination with your security system provider
PoE Camera Wiring and Network Integration
PoE cameras need a clean cable run from a PoE-capable switch or PoE injector to each camera location. We plan the runs, select the right cable pathway, and terminate at both ends — at the camera mount and at the patch panel or switch. We also run the NVR network connection and handle any conduit or cable tray work needed for a clean installation.
Good fit for
- Offices adding interior surveillance coverage
- Retail and hospitality properties with exterior and interior cameras
- Warehouses and distribution facilities
- Medical offices and professional service spaces
- Properties expanding an existing camera system
- New buildouts incorporating security from the start
Camera Placement for Business Properties
Camera location affects both coverage and pathway planning. We work from your layout or walk the property to identify mounting positions for the coverage you need — entry points, parking areas, storage rooms, reception areas, and interior corridors. We plan cable pathways from each location back to the NVR or network rack before pulling any cable, so the installation goes in without surprises.
Common signs you need this
- Cameras drop offline overnight or in the heat
- Camera cable was run alongside electrical conduit
- You are adding cameras beyond the current PoE budget
- Existing camera runs were never labeled or documented

Clean Low-Voltage Cabling for Surveillance Systems
Security camera cabling shares pathways with your data and network infrastructure. We keep it organized, properly separated where required, and easy to trace. Every camera run is labeled at both ends, and the finished installation is documented so your security integrator can identify every cable by camera location — and so future additions or replacements are straightforward.
What the work involves
Every security camera installation project in Las Vegas follows the same basic sequence, scaled to the size of the space.
Camera placement planning
We plan positions around what you actually need to see — entrances, registers, loading areas, stockrooms — and account for lighting and mounting height. A camera in a convenient spot but a poor sightline is not useful.
PoE cable runs
Most modern IP cameras take power and data over one Ethernet cable, so each camera gets its own run back to the switch or recorder. That keeps power supplies out of the ceiling and simplifies maintenance.
Mounting and weather considerations
Exterior cameras in the Las Vegas climate need suitable mounting and cable entry to cope with sustained heat and sun exposure. Interior and exterior positions get different treatment for that reason.
Termination at the recorder
Runs terminate cleanly at the NVR or PoE switch, labeled by camera location, so identifying a specific camera later is a matter of reading a label rather than tracing cable.
Commercial spaces we support
We run security camera cabling for Las Vegas retail stores, warehouses, offices, restaurants, auto and service businesses, and multi-tenant properties. Work ranges from cabling a handful of entry cameras to a full building layout during a build-out. We serve Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Paradise, and neighbouring areas.

What type of cable do IP security cameras use?
Modern IP security cameras use standard Cat6 ethernet cable and Power over Ethernet (PoE). The same cable carries both data and power to the camera, so no separate power supply is needed at each camera location. We run a dedicated Cat6 home-run cable from each camera back to the NVR or PoE switch.
Do you mount the cameras or just run the cable?
We handle both — cable pulls and camera mounting at the planned positions. We coordinate with your security system provider or integrator on camera locations and mounting heights before we pull any cable. Configuration and recording setup is handled by your security provider.
Can you add cameras to an existing system?
Yes. We run additional PoE cable runs to new camera locations and connect them to your existing switch or NVR. We label the new runs to match the existing documentation and update the port map so the full system stays organized.
Do you supply the cameras and recorder as well?
Our focus is the cabling, mounting, and physical installation. Many clients buy cameras and an NVR through their security provider or IT vendor so the system matches what they already use and who supports it. We coordinate on camera counts and locations, and we can install equipment you have supplied.
Can you add cameras to a building that already has some?
Usually yes. We check what is already installed, whether the existing recorder has spare channels and PoE capacity, and whether the current cable is reusable. Extending a working system is often more economical than replacing it.
How do exterior cameras hold up in Las Vegas heat?
Sustained summer heat and direct sun are the main stress on outdoor installations here. Choosing cameras rated for the temperature range, mounting them with some shade where possible, and sealing cable entries properly all extend service life. We plan exterior runs with that in mind.
